Survival In Marriage

We have been working with a couple for about 10 months. They have walked through difficult circumstances for much of their married life. Many unseen- just crazy occurrences. Hope has not really been a part of their existence. It’s been more about survival- on repeat. They are currently in one of our homes of hope and have attended several classes. Through this they have developed some new skills and refined some old ones. They have been encouraged and lifted up. They have made new friends and communication in the marriage has opened up. During a recent meeting with them we were discussing some successes they have experienced. These included: closer to God, closer to each other, much debt paid off, money in savings for the first time ever, and a solid plan for moving forward. Just before we wrapped up the meeting they stated one more success… “We finally have hope! Real hope in life and for our future!”
